Aboriginal Food

The Aboriginal People are the traditional owners of Australia's Land and for 100's of year they lived here and lived off the land.

 

They would grow thing as well as hunt things and they would have their own way in which they would prepare food.

  • How plants and animals can make food or materials for clothing and shelter and what does  plants and animals need to live.

 

  • Look at  products that can be made from plants and animals.

 

  • Considering the suitability of a range of tools when cultivating gardens, mulching and building garden structures and preparing and cooking food from recipes.

 

  • Also look at Aboriginal bush foods and how they make and cook them.

 

  • Look at how people from all over the world make different foods based on the plants and animals from where they are from and their cooking tools.

 

  • Look at the tools, equipment and techniques used to prepare food safely for healthy eating.
